Free Vector Pack: Document Icons
I have a love/hate relationship with stock graphics. Ninety percent of the time, they are tired, useless, too trendy, too lame, or just downright awful. However, when in a bind I rely on the work of others, with custom manipulation, to speed up production time.
After years of working like this, I decided it time to offer help to others out in their search for a quick fix and I am offering a free vector pack of document icons I created recently for a project. I am not reinventing the wheel here, these are simple Illustrator vector graphics that you can use for any file type and can be found on any stock website. However, mine are free. (Download links at the end of the post.)

Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for.
Will be used on our site. Your work has been commented in the code. I did some minor changes to it just converted the file to PNG and sized the image down a little.

I am writing a file manager for the osCommerce system and am looking for a set of neat file type icons – there isn’t much free out there which I am surprised about – tons of other free icon stuff but no file types! anyway these are really neat love the clean design (was hoping there would be a complete set!!)

Thanks a lot for the icons! I was glad to have the “background paper” as the foundation for the icon of my Paper Sizes webOS app.
